AlMgSi (AL7) – AAAC
AlMgSi-alloy (AL7)-AAAC is designed to have a higher strength to weight ratio and provides improved electrical properties, excellent clamping properties and superior corrosion resistance compared to ACSR. This has given the AlMgSi-conductor broad acceptance in power distribution grids.
Additional corrosion protection is available through different grease alternatives.

AAAC General information
AAAC conductors are composed of several aluminium alloy wires (Al-Mg-Si) stranded over each layer. Most common AAAC conductors are composed of7, 19, 37,61 and 91 wires. AAAC conductors are also used as suspension wire and neutral on 0,6-1kV overhead insulated distribution cables.
